Lambeth
House Emergency Preparedness Plan |
 |
Lambeth
House Emergency Preparedness
St. James Place Continuing Care Community in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is our contracted evacuation host-site for Assisted Living residents. St. Clare Manor in Baton Rouge is our contracted evacuation host-site for Nursing Care residents.
For
mandatory evacuations and/or Lambeth House-elected evacuations,
we will implement our respective emergency preparedness plans
for each of our three continuums-- independent living, assisted
living and nursing care, as summarized below:
- Independent
Living
o
Every resident is required to have a personal
evacuation plan.
o Every resident, if a mandatory
evacuation is called, must leave Lambeth House and will
not be allowed to remain in the building.
o Every
resident, if we shelter-in-place at Lambeth House, must
abide by all rules implemented at that time.
o Sheltering-in-place
is for residents and staff, only, and no
resident family members will be permitted to shelter at
Lambeth House.
o If
an evacuation has been called and the danger has subsequently
cleared, residents will be allowed to return only
when Lambeth House administration has authorized
the return. Authorization to return to Lambeth House will
be posted on our www.lambethhouse.com
Web-site.
o Residents
and their families should refer to the www.lambethhouse.com
Web-site on a regular basis during evacuation and/or shelter-in-place
situations. The Web-site is the single most important tool
to refer to during emergency situations, providing valuable
updates and relevant instructions.

Assisted
Living
o
Every resident should have a personal evacuation
plan, whether residents evacuate with Lambeth House or with
friends and family.
o
Lambeth House has contracted with St. James Place in Baton
Rouge as our evacuation host-site. St. James Place provides
only the most basic of services.
o If a mandatory evacuation is called by Lambeth House
administration, all residents must leave Lambeth House, either
evacuating with family or friends or evacuating with Lambeth
House to St. James Place.
o If returning to Lambeth House will not occur within 7 days
of evacuation, every effort will be made to assist you in
finding an alternative setting.
o If a voluntary evacuation is called by Lambeth House
administration, residents are strongly encouraged to leave
with family or friends and implement their personal evacuation
plan.
o If we shelter-in-place at Lambeth House, all residents must
abide by all rules implemented at that time.
o Sheltering-in-place is for residents and staff,
only. No residents’ family
members will be permitted to shelter at Lambeth House.
o Lambeth House staff will contact residents’ primary
contact person and inform them of the recommended, voluntary
and/or mandatory evacuation orders.
o If evacuating with family or friends, residents should pack
their medications, personal assistive devices, critical personal-care
items, personal identification, credit cards and money as
needed for an alternative emergency setting. Do not leave
important or valuable items behind. Residents will be restricted
to one small carry-on bag. It must be labeled, legibly,
with your name and easily identifiable.
o If an evacuation has been called and the danger has subsequently
cleared, residents will be allowed to return only
when Lambeth House administration has authorized
the return. Authorization to return to Lambeth House will
be posted on our www.lambethhouse.com
Web-site.
o Residents and their families should refer to the www.lambethhouse.com
Web-site on a regular basis during evacuation and/or shelter-in-place
situations. The Web-site is the single most important tool
to refer to during emergency situations, providing valuable
updates and relevant instructions.
