As a nonprofit community, we are mission driven: we don’t have to provide dividends to stockholders. All earnings after expenses are reinvested in the community to benefit our residents; therefore, we can provide better staffing and services in crucial areas, such as health care. Nonprofit status also gives us tax benefits that help contain costs.
